"Copy this onto 10 Message Boards. Go to the Lost Desert Food Stall, or wherever, and you will find a random Paint Brush(s)," OR anything like that, DON'T DO IT!!! It DOESN'T work and you can be frozen! That is a "Chain Letter"

-----If a login screen pops up and you DID NOT click login, DO NOT enter your password. Refresh, if you keep getting it, type in neopets.com in the address bar and start again. This FAKE LOG-IN page can look exactly like the Neopet one. Look at the address above and make sure it says, www.neopets.com

....Never open any link's sent to you by people you don't know.
Most of them have cookie grabbers which the hacker can hack you! A person may even join the Guild and pretend they have been a member for awhile!

....Check the url of the item in the Wiz by putting your cursor over it, If the url does not begin http://www.neopets.com/buy_item,phtml, do NOT click on it!

----TheNeopetsTeam will NEVER, EVER ask for your password. They already KNOW your password! They don't lose personal information. They have back up systems in place. If you get mail saying they're the Neopets Team and they want personal information, REPORT them!!

----Never buy accounts from people. It's just a way for them to scam you. If they were REALLY leaving, why would you have to BUY a cheap item for a lot of NP/items from them?? It makes no sense. It can also get you frozen.

----No one "wins 6 (something's)" and decides to "give one away" to the highest bidder on a junk lot! If they HAD the item, they'd be offering IT, not JUNK!

----Beware brand-new items. At first, they're overpriced, until more people get them. Then value drops FAST. (Like new Plushies, BD or Quest items)

----When using the TRADING POST check the prices on the Shop Wiz BEFORE you make that deal! People can (and do) claim something is Unbuyable, or worth a lot, but they'll sell it for much less. SOMETIMES, its a rip-off. CHECK THE SHOP WIZ!

----No item can give Fish Neggs, or make you better in games.

....Don't give an item, nps or your account, to a person who says they will freeze your account if you don't! Report them!

....Report people who send Chain Letters saying someone is dying and needs nps/items. How in the world will pretend money help them???

----There is no such thing as the 'codestone cave' or the 'paint brush cave or the Dark Faerie Cave' so never pay people to tell you where it is.

----Adding numbers to the address bar when you're donating to the MONEY TREE, does NOT give you any prizes, or a better chance at prizes. Prizes are given out Randomly, no matter what you donate. This is usually a Scam and Neopets freezes people for it.

---- Never buy CHEATS from people. Most of the time, they DON'T work, and other times if you use them, it'll get YOUR account frozen.

----NEVER UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES give anyone access to your account! Don't fall for those emails that say "You won 1,000,000 but we need access to your account to give you the money." Basically, ignore and report people with who neomail you with a story about needing your password. It's a scam.

----NEVER log into one of those "cheater" sites that's supposed to give you money or items. They're just trying to take YOUR money and items. There is no "14,000,000" Bank cheat... it's just a scam.

----NEVER change your e-mail address to anything that is NOT your OWN e-mail address. This gives the scammer access to YOUR password and account! If you accidentally (or unthinkingly) give out your password , you have ONLY A FEW MINUTES to go to the Help page and change your password. IMMEDIATELY report if you are scammed, so Neopets can freeze the account and keep your stuff safe until true ownership is verified!!

----And never ever listen to those people telling you to send them stuff for 'secrets'. These are the only secrets you need.

....Don't neomail people asking for FREE items. This will often offend people AND get you blocked!

----Lucky Die will NOT make you any luckier on any GAMES, its just a TOY!

....Beware of anyone asking for your Birth Date! This is Private info that can be used to verify account ownership! Do NOT give out your Birth Date!

....Report ALL Scammers! Click on, "Contact Us" at the bottom of every page.

.... Never offer on a multi trade. If someone asks you to offer your good item on a cheap lot, than offer a cheap item on THEIR good lot, you've been scammed. They'll accept your good item, and reject the cheap one.

----Fortune Telling Fish and Fish Eggs Do Nothing!. They Do Not lay Fish Neggs!

----Above all, DON'T try to scam people yourself, YOU *could* get your account frozen FOREVER.

Everyone should know that if they see their account being hacked/scammed in front of them, Click Contact, at the bottom of every page, RIGHT AWAY!!! Put in the message area, "I'M BEING HACKED RIGHT NOW! PLEASE FREEZE MY ACCOUNT (put your user name here)
They will then have a chance at seeing who's grabbing your items and freeze them as well..

If someone is in your account and you still have access to it, CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD, THEN LOG OUT! That's the only way to get them out. If you don't log out after you change your password, they may still be in it! (some people say you don't have to log out after changing your password, but better safe then sorry!)
