Guild Guidelines & Promotions

Here are some Guidelines to help our Guild run smoothly and help you earn more nps. if your post has been deleted, you will be Neomailed with the reason why and directed to this page. Please make sure you reply to a Council Members neomail so we know you understand why we neomailed you. :)
If we continually have to delete a members posts, even after they have been reminded of these Guidelines, we may, after consultation with other Council Members, suspend or Ban them. Please remember the purpose of this Guild, to become richer!!

No Contests, No Giveaways, No Donating! Just ideas to make you a NeoMillionaire from TONS of Neomillionaires!! We're so good, we teach you how to make at least 10,000np/day on our Guild Home Page, and on our Award Winning Guild Web Site!! Imagine what you'll be able to do as a member!!

" Advertising"

Asking people to go to yours, or someone else's, Shop/Trade/Auction is not allowed on either Board or on the Guild Calendar, for ANY reason. These posts, and all replies, will be deleted! If you have the best prices , you'll NEVER have to advertise - EVER!! In fact, I purposely do not go to shops that advertise because, if the shop owner has to advertise, he/she doesn't have the best prices.
The best advice from this Guild is: use the Shop Wizard, auctions or trades to find the best prices. If you're having trouble selling stuff , you need to check the Wiz and adjust your prices.

Reason:
Members tend to trust other Guild members, and in the past have been scammed with higher prices. We've banned all advertising to protect all of our members.

Please don't post the address of another Guild, or their Web Site. For obvious reasons! Let's ROCK!

"Answering a Question"

If someone has answered a question, please don't post just to repeat a similar answer, unless you have new information or unless the persons answer is wrong.

Then , don't tell them they're wrong, just post your answer.

Reason:
Repeating it just takes up unnecessary space and doesn't give you any credit towards promotion. As a matter of fact, if you do it often, it may get in the way of your Promotion!

When a Council Member, or someone else, refers someone to the Guild Web Site, that's where their answer is, please don't post the answer when you see that. We DO know the answer, we just want members to READ the Tips on the Guild Web Site that other Members have already posted. We may have neomailed a member to look there, repeatedly!

If you don't know the answer, please don't post. Guessing doesn't answer their question either. Check to see if it’s on the Guild Web Site so you can refer the person there when you answer them. That way we don't have to post the same answers over, and over, and take up a lot of room on the Board. THAT'S what the Guild Web Site was created for, to store the tips. :)

When you answer a question, please be nice. New members don't need to be "yelled" at, or spoken rudely to.

Please leave the Moderating to the Mods. We will let the person know if they've done something wrong. We don't like to center a new member out, if they're just trying to be helpful, or ask a question.

The Guild Board is not for chatting. You can always neomail the person to discuss theories. We also have a Discussion Board for other things. :)

"Asking A Question"

-Check to see if it’s on the Guild Web Site first.

-Check back a few pages on the Guild Message Board to see if it’s been posted recently. That saves filling up the message board with the same question over and over, when they've already been posted for everyone to see.

-Please don't reply to another post if you're changing the subject. It's way to confusing to follow. If you're starting a new topic, write in your own subject line

-Please don't speak in "Chat Speak" This is not MSN, and there's no need for quick replies. :)

"Asking For, Or Offering, Items"

Please do not ask, or offer to, sell/trade/give/lend items/neopoints, or Pets, in your posts on either Board, or signature! Your post, and all replies to it, will be deleted! If you continue to do it, you could be Suspended/Banned.
Again, The best advice from this Guild is: use the Shop Wizard, auctions or trades to find the best prices. If you can't afford something, follow the tips in the Guild until you can.

Reason:
People can scam you.

"Avatars,Signatures & Fonts"

-So as not to take up a lot of room, please keep your signature to one line, two at the very most! Make sure your Sig, is at the bottom of your message, and not on the top as well. This takes up way too much room on the Board.

-Posts that have Signatures/Fonts that are large, over 11 pt, or unreadable, will be deleted. Solid bars are also not allowed as they make some computers run slower.

-Please don't type in all "CAPS" it looks like you're shouting.

-Please also remember that a lot of children read this Board. Inappropriate signatures will mean the whole post will be deleted.

-All the Guild Guidelines also apply to Signatures!
-If you just want to test all of these, including FONTS and AVATARS, please do it on the Noeopets Chats, NOT the Guild Board!

- Please post on the Discussion Board about Avatars. If you want to know where someone got their Avatar, please neomail them and ask.
Asking to borrow/lend items/pets/nps is not allowed. You can do that on the Neopet Boards. It's too easy to be scammed, or scam.

"Contests"

Please don't ask people to vote for your beauty contest, and any other contest entries. We're here to help each other, with helps/tips that everyone can use, to make a lot of nps!

Reason:
These kind of posts tend to take over message boards.

"Discussion Board"

The Guild Message Board is for Help and Tips on making NPS that work for everyone. The following topics would go on the Discussion Board NOT the Guild Board,
Saying you're new, or Hi, Speculating about things that are happening around Neopia, Guessing at how to play certain games, Discussions, Avatars, HTML, Battledome, Non Neopet related topics, anything not related to making nps.

"Guild "Decorum"

We want to stay away from words like d**n, b$$t, c**p, etc. Please don't post *** in place of them either, we'll still know what you mean! lol

If you Swear at another member, for any reason, or call them "n00b, you WILL be blocked from the Guild!
Also, one member laughed at another member because the Pant Devil stole an Icetravaganza Card from them! That's horrible!

Remember: we're a GREAT TEAM in this Guild. We share great ideas together and have fun and make a TON of Neopoints. Let's keep everything clean, help each other, and if anyone ever has anything bad happen to them - YUK!!! - it hurts ME to hear it when one of my teammates gets in trouble.

We are the best TEAM in all of Neopia - Let's fight for each other and help each other, with Ideas and Tips, become the WEALTHIEST TEAM in all of Neopia!! We're WELL on our way!!

Leaving?

If you're leaving, or thinking of leaving, the Guild, or Neopets, please just neomail the people you know. Don't post it on either Board. If you just want someone to talk you out of it, don't say it in the first place. lol The last thing we need is a bunch of people posting to get your items/nps!

"Quest Help"

If you're on a Quest, and can't use the Wiz, you can ask Guild members to post the addresses of 3 Shops that have your item, just in case the first one is sold out, so they can buy it for themselves. Members, please don't post that you'll give/sell them the item as that's not what this Guild is about and it can encourage people to say they're on a Quest just to get items. Those posts will also be deleted. We're here to make nps, not give them away!! We ask that you not post your own shop as this could be considered advertising..
We suggest you put, "Quest Help Needed (name of item)" in the Subject box.
All Quest help given will be deleted after 1 hour so that they don't take up a lot of room.

If you're on Jhudors'a or Illusen's Quest, you can post on the Board asking Guild Members if they have the item IF it's an unbuyable only, and you are willing to pay what the item is worth. If it's on the Wiz, you can get it yourself. If you're high up you would be better to post on the Neopets Boards asking if people will help you, BEFORE you do the Quest.

Tips

If anyone has any TIPS for Games/making nps, that are NOT already on this site, please post them.
(It's not a Tip if you just say you play the game, or tell people to play a game)
Please don't re-post tips that are on the Guild Web Site, just provide a partial answer, and the address to the tip, if someone asks. : )

Please make sure you've tested the tip, and it works, before you post it.

Please don't put "Re:" in the subject unless you're actually answering someone's post.

Please do NOT post the address of another Guild. You could be banned if you do,

"Promotions"

We promote people to apprentice, hopefully within 24 hours, just for joining the Guild. It's completely different for promotions to , Scholar, Expert and Wizard. Promotion to Scholar, would be a Guild Member doing a lot of work "growing the Guild" Invitations, helping members, etc Promotions to Expert depends on good, consistent, quality posts to our Message Board. A promotion to Wizard goes beyond even that. A Wizard has developed special talents beyond the norm and has consistently answered tough questions and taught tough stuff to the Guild. All promotions also depend on following the Guild Rules! : )

Promotions are based on three things:

1) Answering questions on the Message Boards, and directing members to the Guild Web Site, if their answer is there (please check first as we appreciate when members help other members by getting them to read our tips there). The more help you give other members, the quicker you'll be promoted.

2) Bringing NEW people into the Guild, not other accounts you've created. Have the people you invited Neomail, onering_ and let her know they joined, and you referred them to our Guild. This is to prove that YOU invited them. That way, as you help grow our Guild, it goes toward promotion. If you're an Apprentice, and you invite a minimum of 10 new members, you automatically get promoted to Scholar!
If you add my name to your User Look-up Shop, you'll have to add it exactly like this so 2 underscores don't show up. O<font size="2">nering_

3) NeoKnowledge. Those who are truly AWESOME when it comes to knowing about NeoPets may jump some ranks just because their knowledge is extremely valuable to all of us here in the Guild. Combinations of those three things are considered as well

Council Positions: A person is voted on by the other Council Members. People who are active, and VERY helpful Members are considered. We also keep track of what, potential Council Members post on the Chat Boards to see how they treat other Neopet Players, since treating people with respect, is very important to our Guild.
The last thing we want to see is someone being rude to someone, or calling them names like "n00b", then other people finding out they're on our Council!

*Promotions are NOT given based on the number of posts, as a matter of fact, useless posts (spamming), chatting (even after you've been warned by the Council to stop), actually work against you and you won't be promoted.! If you do a lot of Spamming, you will be banned from the Guild.

Please don't keep asking WHEN you'll be promoted. We keep track of when members should be promoted. Please don't neomail us, or post that you think another members should be promoted. They will be promoted when they're ready.

If you leave the Guild, or change accounts, and re-join, you may lose your position and Rank and have to start over, so please think carefully before leaving!
If you feel you're overdue for a Promotion, check that you're able to receive neomail from a Council Member before you contact us.

"Scammers"

Scammers will have their posts, and any replies to their posts, deleted!
We will also immediately Ban any Scammers from the Guild and REPORT them to Neopets!!

Please don't post the Usernames of Scammers on the Boards.
