" Re: Shop Wizard "

If you want to go back here's something you can try, just select "work offline" from the file menu and go back. This will prevent it from refreshing  4 times out of 5.

" Shop Wizard "

Just something to note when using the shop wizard during a quest: Be sure to type what you need to find EXACTLY how it should be typed and be sure to put it as "Identical To". The only reason this is necessary is because if you search for the wrong thing or you misspell your item, you will lose your ability to use the shop wizard for the quest (even if you try to go back )Good luck!

" Re: How many times CAN you refresh a wiz ? "

It's a max of 300 refreshes in an hour. They break it up though. Sometimes you'll refresh some and they'll say come back in 20 minutes, or 10, etc. It averages 300 refreshes and hour though. I tested it thoroughly ! lol

The bans end on the hour. If you get kicked out at 5 minutes after the hour, your ban is one hour. If you are banished at 20 after, you get a 40 minute ban. If you’re banned at 10 to, you get banned for 10 minutes, etc.

" Faerie Quests and The Wiz "

Here's a nice little trick I found. Whenever I'm on Neopets now, I always have a window open with the shop wizard -- even when I'm not using him. Then, when I'm given a faerie quest, I can still use him. The faerie's won't allow you to open the shop wizard, but if he's already open, you can hunt for your item on him. It saves a lot of time and effort.

" Re: Shop Wizard Listings "

Understanding the Shop Wizard:
(The following explains a bit more about what I said about YOUR SHOP WIZARD PAGE under "Guides" on our web page.)

When you look at a Shop Wizard Page, you aren't looking at everybody's shop. I may have a Pawkeet for sale at 80,000 NP and you might not see my name/price info when you search for "Pawkeet" on the Shop Wizard.

What you're actually seeing is a group of shops selling a Pawkeet. Neopets has divided its users into groups based on the first letter of their user ID and there are 13 different groups (there used to be 8, these are the updated groups).
1) a,n,0
2) b,o,1
3) c,p,2
4) d,q,3
5) e,r,4
6) f,s,5
7) g,t,6
8) h,u,7
9) i,v,8
10) j,w,9
11) k,x,_
12) l,y
13) m,z

Using my example of the Pawkeet, I scan the shop wizard and find the following results (my observations are in parentheses):

i_love_fantasy360 Pawkeet 1 99,999 NP
rain_babee Pawkeet 1 99,998 NP
laughing_doggy Pawkeet 1 99,999 NP
kalin11 Pawkeet 1 98,000 NP
pa_dj_0205 Pawkeet 1 94,500 NP (ah ha! somone has it several thousand cheaper! in addition there are two other

If I keep searching, I get:
wolvesfanette Pawkeet 3 99,000 NP (she's got 3 of them)
kalin11 Pawkeet 1 98,000 NP (I've seen this page before)
mickatjus Pawkeet 1 99,999 NP
bluesfnno1 Pawkeet 1 98,000 NP (another less than 99,999)

Doing a quick count, I made 9 searches and got 8 different results. There are still 5 groups of shops I haven't seen. If I was serious about buying a Pawkeet, I might keep checking until I got all the results. Note that page #7 hasn't shown up which is where items in my shop (thebigshop) would appear. If you don't keep checking, you'd miss the Pawkeet I have for sale at 80,000 NP.

For most items I'll only check for five different results, but if I'm planning on spending over 10,000 NPs on an item, I usually check until I have 11 or more results. The more NPs at stake, the more I want to be sure of getting a good price!

Two last points:
When you find an item for 99,999 NP on only one page, the item may normally be unbuyable, but it might not be worth much more than 100K so the the user has put it in his shop, sacrificing a few NPs for a quicker sale (unlike the trading post, all Shop transactions are in PURE NPs).

Before you go after a buyable unbuyable, consider if there are other cheaper ways of getting it (the Pawkeet for example can be bought on Krawk Island). Try to remember items that are obviously worth a LOT more than 99,999 NP (ex. Baby Paint Brush, H4000 Helmet, etc) and use the Trading Post and Auctions to get an idea of what people WANT for the item - this might not be the actual value, but it gives you somewhere to start.
